Earlier this year, Carnforth Rotary organised the Carnforth Heritage Photographic Competition to raise funds for two local charities. The challenge was to take photos of anything linked to the heritage of Carnforth with the twelve best pictures being incorporated into a calendar to raise funds for CancerCare and Achieve, Change and Engagement which is a local charity for young people.
The expenses for the production of the calendar were covered by various sponsors whose logo is linked to one month of the calendar, thereby allowing all profits from sales to go to the charities.
The overall winning photo was used for the front cover and an A4 framed copy presented to the photographer, Ken McGrath, by Judge Liz Withey watched by President Anthony Chick. All sponsors and winning photographers received a free copy of the calendar.
The expenses for the production of the calendar were covered by various sponsors whose logo is linked to one month of the calendar.
The Calendar is now on sale in Carnforth for £8 each at The Bookshop, Moore and Wife and the P.O. from Saturday. We will also be selling them on the Chocobola stall at the Carnforth Street Festival Saturday 21st August and CancerCare should also have some for sale soon too.
Well done and thank you to everyone who was involved in any way with this project.
