135 RotaKids representing just under 30 clubs from District 1190 (Cumbria & North Lancashire) enjoyed the 7th RotaKids Conference held at the University of Cumbria in Lancaster on Friday 14 June. The children took part in a range of activities, which were kindly provided by various organisations, including Deafway, Ribble Valley Trust and Compassion UK to name a few.
Some of the activities covered were painting flower pots, looking at bugs and insects, learning about bee keeping, Morris Dancing, playing musical instruments, making electro magnets, learning about the End Polio Now Campaign, and learning the correct procedure for Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR). Animal Care brought a dog along for the children to see.
Well done to everyone who helped to make the day such a success.
The next conference will take place on Friday 12 June 2020.
