Many thanks to everyone who joined us for a ‘Charter with a Difference’ yesterday evening. It being our first ever Charter via Zoom and with a bear sharing the chair.
Polio Ted, alongside President Linda Lambson PHF enjoyed a lot of fun and chatter before and after the formal event.
My thanks go to Cliff for organising the event, John for Zoom and IT support, Ken for the Roll Call, Gillian for skilfully guiding us through the Proceedings and Heather for stepping in at short notice to toast RI, RIBI and District 1190. Also thanks to District Governor, Welma Robinson (who knows an awful lot about our club) for her kind words, support and inspiration. She then gave a very interesting presentation on Water Survival Boxes.
Towards the end of the evening, a ’25years of Membership’ Certificate was virtually awarded to Arthur Jones. Many congratulations Arthur for this and all of the roles you have taken on during this time.
Polio Ted then assisted to draw the raffle,
the lucky winner being Richard Parsons, Secretary of the Rotary club of Lunesdale.
The raffle money and extra donations, which have since come in, will be split equally between Water Survival Boxes and End Polio Now.
